My main research interests are in the areas of self-organisation in biological systems and collective animal behaviour. Within the RUBEL group I focus on understanding how animals move across their environment and how they coordinate their movement with the movement of other animals of the same or a different species. I am particularly interested in collective motion phenomena such as flocking and schooling as well as in the coordination phenomena underlying predator-prey interactions.
